This course integrates the principles of clinical pharmacokinetics, including factors that affect the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and binding of drugs, into the process of monitoring, evaluating and adjusting dosing regimens in a patient care setting. Participants learn to interpret laboratory results, assess clinical findings, and apply pharmacokinetic concepts in order to determine an individualized dosage regimen for a specific patient. The video series includes critical thinking and problem-solving exercises that relate to drug dosing and monitoring functions that are commonly performed by pharmacists in clinical practice.
