Elder Games製作的《破碎起源：聯合守衛者》於2008年中期進行開發，是一款關於星球戰
爭的策略遊戲。由於人類無止盡的戰爭和對資源的開發，地球已不再適合居住，一個叫做'
Guardians'的組織以救世主的身份出現，幫助人類在外太空生存，並建立了「軍事委員會
」來保護人類的安全。一開始，號召聯合的「Guardians」給人類帶來希望，但是隨著越來
越無法遏制的權力，「Guardians」的一些當權者開始變得狂熱起來，濫用權力屠殺平民，
他們的真實面目也漸漸暴露。於是無數革命分子從「Guardians」手中盜取飛船開始脫離了
聯合組織的控制，大概兩百萬的被「Guardians」稱為「星際海盜」的異軍在隨後的幾年內
又聚集了更多了加盟者。兩方勢力開始進行戰爭，歷史學家稱之為「破碎起源」，而這場
戰爭一旦開始便進行了兩百年。這就是人類的本性，所謂的聯合、所謂的守護，即便是背
負著星際流浪的命運，也無法阻擋人類互相鬥爭。
At the dawn of the space age, humankind was shattered
into two factions: the Guardians, an oppressive company
which imprisoned mankind into gigantic Star Cruisers,
and the Pirates, who stole ships from the Guardians and
are now searching for a new home.
In Shattered Origins: Guardians of Unity, you lead the
Guardian fleet through a dangerous universe, hunting the
Pirate horde. This chase will lead you to places no one
has ever seen before, and before you realize, the fight
becomes much more than that: a struggle for survival,
and the uncovering of a terrible secret which soon turns
our world into something else...
